  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 1 cup of oil (vegetable or canola)
  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For boiling the dough:

  • 2.5 – 3 liters of water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  1. Prepare the Dough:
  • Grab a big mixing bowl. Pour in the warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Stir it up good. Let it chill for 5-10 minutes until it’s got a frothy top, telling you the yeast is awake.
  • Toss in the flour, oil, and salt into the yeast mix. Stir it all up until it’s doughy. If it’s too sticky or dry, tweak the flour or milk a bit till it feels just right.
  • Next up, knead that dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes. You want it smooth and stretchy.
  1. Let the Dough Rise:
  • Grease up a bowl. Plop the kneaded dough in there. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it chill in a warm spot for around 1 hour. You’ll know it’s ready when it doubles in size.
